Who we are

Helsing is a defence AI company. Our mission is to protect our democracies. We aim to achieve technological leadership, so that open societies can continue to make sovereign decisions and control their ethical standards.
As democracies, we believe we have a special responsibility to be thoughtful about the development and deployment of powerful technologies like AI. We take this responsibility seriously.
We are an ambitious and committed team of engineers, AI specialists and customer-facing programme managers. We are looking for mission-driven people to join our European teams, and apply their skills to solve the most complex and impactful problems. We embrace an open and transparent culture that welcomes healthy debates on the use of technology in defence, its benefits, and its ethical implications.

The role

As Technical-Logistical Support (TLB) Manager within our In-Service Support (ISS) discipline, you will plan and steer the technical and logistical support of our systems in operation. You will apply the relevant ASD S-Series specifications to keep our platforms available, supportable, and mission-ready. Working in German with public contracting authorities (öAG), you will support procurement processes and apply the fundamentals of public procurement and contract law. You will manage the interface between development and operations, connecting developmental support (ETB) with in-service realities. Your work ensures our ever-progressing technology reaches the field, stays sustained, and continues to protect the democracies we serve.

The day-to-day

  • Plan and steer technical-logistical support (TLB) for systems in operation, applying the relevant ASD S-Series specifications to sustain availability and supportability
  • Support procurement processes and apply the fundamentals of public procurement and contract law when engaging public contracting authorities (öAG)
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the öAG, communicating clearly on support status, requirements and deliverables in German
  • Manage the interface between development and operations, translating developmental support (ETB) inputs into operational support outcomes
  • Track and improve supportability metrics across the in-service lifecycle to reduce downtime and sustain mission readiness

You should apply if you

  • Communicate confidently with customers and public contracting authorities, in fluent German and English (C1 or equivalent)
  • Apply the ASD S-Series specifications to technical-logistical support in an operational setting
  • Understand the fundamentals of public procurement and contract law (öAG-Vertragsrecht) and use them in day-to-day engagement
  • Coordinate across development and operations, with a working understanding of developmental support (ETB)
  • Turn complex support requirements into clear, actionable plans that keep systems available
Note: We operate in an industry where women, as well as other minority groups, are systematically under-represented. We encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet all the listed qualifications; ability and impact cannot be summarised in a few bullet points.

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting complex platforms in the defence or aerospace sector
  • Familiarity with related ASD specifications such as S1000D, S2000M and S3000L.

What we offer

  • Competitive salary and VSOP options
  • Relocation support: up to €2,500 and 4 weeks temporary accommodation
  • Learning: €500/£450 yearly allowance
  • Health & wellness: gym membership and mental health support (Nilo.health)
  • Social: regular company events and monthly social allowances
  • Enhanced parental leave: 22 weeks fully paid for primary caregivers & 6 weeks for secondary caregivers
  • Family support: 5 days of paid family emergency leave, 100% remote work option during pregnancy and phased return to work
These are the core benefits across all locations; there may be additional benefits in specific sites.
