THE OPPORTUNITY
At Salesloft, our Business Systems Administrators keep the internal systems that run the company secure, reliable, and well-administered. You will own the configuration, access, and health of the business-critical applications our teams depend on every day — making sure they work, stay secure, and scale with the business.
This is a hands-on systems and administration role with real ownership. You will administer core business applications, manage access and permissions with a security-first mindset, and build the automation and process that keep those systems reliable. Working within our Security organization, you will treat access and configuration as security controls, not just IT tasks.
On a day-to-day basis, you will:
- Administer and configure core business systems and SaaS applications, keeping them reliable, secure, and well-governed.
- Manage user access, roles, and permissions with a security-first approach — enforcing least privilege and clean provisioning and deprovisioning.
- Automate administration, access reviews, and routine tasks to reduce manual effort and error.
- Integrate business systems and maintain the data flows between them.
- Partner with Security, IT, and business teams to support audits, access reviews, and compliance requirements.
- Document configurations and build repeatable processes that keep systems maintainable as the company grows.
This role lives at the heart of how we Make Your Mark: you'll treat systems administration as a discipline — automating, documenting, and fixing root causes so the same issues don't recur. And in the spirit of how we are Customer Inspired — where every decision has a true north, and it's our customer — you'll administer access and configuration as the security controls they are, protecting the company and the data customers trust us with.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a detail-oriented systems administrator who takes ownership of the applications they manage and brings a security-first mindset to access and configuration. You are organized, reliable, and comfortable automating your way out of repetitive work.
You embody what we call Evidence Over Ego — you work methodically, verify configurations against policy, and surface issues honestly. You are process-minded and build systems administration that scales.
This is the right role if you want to own the internal systems that keep a category-defining company running securely.
THE TEAM
The Salesloft Security organization protects the platform, the company, and the sensitive data our customers and employees entrust to us. Business Systems Administration sits within this remit because access and configuration are core security controls. The team works closely with IT, Security Engineering, and the business teams who rely on these systems.
The team Moves as One — systems administration, security, and IT share ownership of secure, reliable internal systems and coordinate directly. And we are relentlessly Customer Inspired: our customers' success is the only scorecard that matters, and well-governed systems and disciplined access management are part of how we keep the company and its data secure.
THE SKILL SET
- Experience administering business systems or SaaS applications, including access and configuration management.
- Strong understanding of access management fundamentals — roles, permissions, least privilege, and provisioning lifecycle.
- Comfort automating administrative tasks and access reviews (scripting or built-in automation tools).
- A security-first, detail-oriented approach to systems administration.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Experience administering systems such as Salesforce, identity providers (Okta, Entra), or other core enterprise SaaS.
- Familiarity with SSO, SCIM, and identity/access governance tooling.
- Experience supporting audits or compliance access reviews (e.g., SOC 2).
