About Us:

Datacor is the leading provider of software solutions, including ERP, CRM, Asset Tracking, Simulation and Formulation, to the process manufacturing space. We are on a mission to better equip the industry with software solutions and move it forward by building thoughtful, intuitive products that solve our customers’ most difficult problems.

We are passionate about serving our customers and helping them use data as a competitive advantage. Our customers make products that extend and sustain lives by sanitizing, fertilizing, beautifying, cleaning, and recycling the world we live in. We at Datacor help our customers make those products you use every day more safely, cost effectively and more efficiently through our technology platforms and applications.

The Role

We are hiring a Senior Manager, Salesforce Architecture to lead the team that runs our Salesforce platform and to set its direction. You will spend most of your time leading people, setting strategy and managing stakeholders, with enough CPQ and Salesforce hands-on depth to review designs and make sound technical calls.

Salesforce is the system of record for how Datacor sells, services and renews across a growing portfolio of business units. Datacor grows through acquisition, and onboarding each acquired business onto our platform is a core part of this job. You will report to the CISO and lead a team of Salesforce administrators and external partners.

Our platform runs Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Salesforce CPQ, Experience Cloud portals for customers and partners, Agentforce, and a meaningful body of custom development. It supports multiple entities in one org, with a revenue-critical integrations.

The ideal candidate has built and led teams, has brought acquired businesses onto an existing platform, and has a working knowledge of CPQ and quote-to-cash. You do not need to be the team's deepest CPQ expert. You do need to understand it well enough to lead the people who are.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership and Strategy

  • Lead, develop and retain a team of Salesforce administrators and external partners. Grow the team as the platform grows.
  • Manage the team directly: regular one-on-ones, goal setting, performance reviews and career development plans.
  • Own a multi-year Salesforce roadmap with the CISO, tying platform investment to business outcomes and company strategy.
  • Own intake, prioritization and capacity planning. Negotiate scope with Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Finance and Operations, make trade-offs explicit, and say no when the roadmap requires it.
  • Set the team's ways of working: intake, estimation, documentation, peer review and definition of done.
  • Represent the Salesforce team to executives, reporting on roadmap, progress, risk and resourcing needs.
  • Manage implementation partners, contractors, and the Salesforce account and support teams, holding external delivery to the same standards as internal work.
  • Raise the team's skills through coaching, design review and pairing, not by absorbing the work yourself.

Acquisition Integration

  • Lead the onboarding of acquired companies and new business units onto our Salesforce org.
  • Assess each acquired environment, define the target state, and plan the migration, consolidation and data conversion, including products, price books, contracts and customer data.
  • Keep our acquisition playbook current so that onboarding a new entity becomes a repeatable data load and runbook, not a custom build.
  • Drive toward a unified customer portal experience across Datacor's brands.

Platform, CPQ and Quote-to-Cash

  • Act as design authority for significant changes, reviewing solution designs before build and keeping a prioritized technical debt backlog.
  • Partner with Finance on quote-to-cash: quoting, amendments, renewals, co-termination, contracts and the sync to our ERP. Make sure the team has the CPQ depth it needs, whether in-house.
  • Keep CPQ healthy and well-governed as the business grows and advise leadership on its long-term direction.
  • Own integration and data architecture direction, including middleware strategy, master data management and data governance.
  • Make and defend build-versus-buy decisions, including AppExchange products and implementation partners.
  • Own the release and DevOps approach: source control, sandbox management and deployment pipelines.
  • Keep the platform running reliably: production incidents, integration failures, scheduled job and Flow errors, and certificate and credential lifecycle.
  • Partner with Information Security on access model, platform security, and audit and compliance requirements.
  • Turn Salesforce release, retirement and licensing changes into a plan for the business, with cost, risk and opportunity clearly stated.

Required Qualifications

  1. People leadership. 3+ years managing direct reports, including hiring, performance reviews, career development.
  1. Strategic ownership. A track record of owning a roadmap, making trade-offs between competing stakeholders, and saying no to a senior stakeholder when priorities required it.
  1. Acquisition or business unit integration. Hands-on experience bringing acquired companies or new business units onto an existing Salesforce org, including data model, record types, sharing, duplicates and cutover.
  1. Long-term platform ownership. Experience running a complex, multi-integration Salesforce org in production over time, not only greenfield implementations.
  1. Salesforce depth. 7+ years on the Salesforce platform, including time in an architecture or lead solution design role.
  1. CPQ and quote-to-cash working knowledge. Comfortable with the quote-to-order-to-contract model, amendments, renewals, co-termination, and how bookings reach the ERP for billing and revenue.
  1. Release management. Understanding of sandbox strategy, source control and deployment pipelines.
  1. Communication. Able to explain technical trade-offs clearly to executives, finance partners and end users.
  1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, business, a related field, or equivalent experience.
