About the Role

Factory is hiring an Events Lead to build and lead the events function.

You will not inherit a fully built team or playbook - you will define Factory's events strategy, build and lead the team, and own the full portfolio of programs: flagship experiences such as user conferences, Sales Kickoff, President's Club, and Tier-1 conferences like AWS re:Invent, alongside field marketing.

You will own the events strategy, global budget, operating rhythm, standards, and measurement, partnering closely with Marketing, Sales Enablement and Executive Leadership to ensure every program strengthens Factory's brand and drives measurable business outcomes.

This role is both strategic and hands-on. You will set the vision, build the organization, and define how Factory shows up through events - while staying close enough to execution to guarantee the most important programs are delivered at an exceptional standard. Over time, you will hire and scale the team needed to support Factory's growth.

What you will do and achieve

  • Own Factory's overall flagship events strategy and portfolio, defining how Factory shows up through events so every program strengthens the brand and drives measurable business outcomes.

  • Build, hire, lead, and develop the events team.

  • Own and allocate the global events budget across the portfolio, including forecasting, prioritization, reconciliation, and ROI.

  • Set the annual events calendar and planning process across flagship programs and conferences.

  • Define and own the events operating model - standards, playbooks, production quality bar, and measurement frameworks - across the entire events organization.

  • Own portfolio-level agency and vendor relationships, including MSAs.

  • Provide executive oversight of flagship programs such as user conferences, SKO, President's Club, and Tier-1 conferences (eg: AWS re:Invent), ensuring executive-level quality and impact.

  • Partner cross-functionally across Marketing, Brand, Sales Enablement, People, Finance, Legal, and Executive Leadership.

  • Champion the Factory voice across the entire events portfolio.

Qualifications

  • Experience building and leading an events function at a high-growth company, including hiring, managing, and developing high-performing teams.

  • Proven track record owning a portfolio of flagship programs (eg, SKO, President's Club, user conferences, Tier-1 industry conferences), managing multiple concurrent programs and stakeholders.

  • Experience owning large, multimillion-dollar events budgets, including allocation across programs, forecasting, and ROI measurement.

  • Strong track record aligning events to pipeline, revenue, and company priorities in close partnership with Sales and Marketing leadership.

  • Experience negotiating and managing agencies, production companies, venues, and strategic vendors at scale.

  • Excellent leadership, cross-functional influence, and executive communication skills.

  • Comfort with event and marketing tools such as Salesforce, event management platforms, and registration tools.

  • Willingness to travel for onsite production and execution of flagship events.

Location: San Francisco, CA or New York, NY (in office), or Remote

This role requires significant travel for onsite production and execution of flagship events.
