Job Summary
We’re looking for a motivated Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join an established outbound sales team and generate qualified opportunities for clients in the Australian market.
This is a fully remote sales role focused on B2B outbound prospecting, cold calling, lead qualification, and appointment setting. You'll work within an established sales methodology and use Salesforce to manage prospect activity and pipeline.
The role is ideal for someone who is confident on the phone, comfortable working toward activity and opportunity targets, and enjoys turning cold prospects into meaningful sales conversations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct approximately 50 outbound calls per day to prospective customers.
- Generate approximately 10 qualified outbound opportunities per month.
- Prospect and engage potential customers through proactive outbound outreach.
- Qualify prospects based on predefined criteria and identify genuine sales opportunities.
- Book meetings and hand qualified opportunities over to the appropriate sales team.
- Maintain accurate prospect, activity, and opportunity records in Salesforce CRM.
- Follow established outbound sales processes, scripts, and methodologies while adapting conversations to individual prospects.
- Consistently work toward individual activity, pipeline, and opportunity KPIs.
- Follow up with prospects effectively to nurture interest and progress conversations.
- Collaborate with sales leadership and incorporate coaching and feedback to continuously improve performance.
Requirements
- Previous experience in B2B outbound sales, lead generation, telesales, appointment setting, or an SDR/BDR role.
- Proven confidence making cold calls and engaging decision-makers.
- Strong spoken and written English communication skills.
- Comfortable working toward measurable outbound sales KPIs.
- Experience using Salesforce or a similar CRM platform.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when managing prospect activity.
- Resilient, self-motivated, and comfortable handling objections and rejection.
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
- Availability to work Australian business hours.
- Reliable computer, internet connection, and professional remote-working setup.
