Requirements

The role

Vestd is the UK's leading equity management platform, and we're building in India.

We need a senior marketer to make Vestd the name Indian founders and finance leaders think of when they think about equity.

You'll lead and scale our marketing in India. You'll set the go-to-market strategy and then roll up your sleeves to deliver it: campaigns, content, the website, partnerships, events and the pipeline numbers that come out of all of it. There's a brand and a playbook from the UK to start from, but adapting them for India is yours to shape.

You'll work closely with sales, product and leadership in India and the UK. You'll have real autonomy and a budget to match, and we'll expect you to tell us plainly what's working and what isn't.

This is a remote-first role based in India. You'll join a few events and in-person get-togethers each year.

What success looks like in year one

We’re looking for someone who is dynamic and can deliver a consistent pipeline of qualified leads, while successfully executing the wider India go-to-market strategy.

You will have excellent commercial judgement, be expected to improve brand awareness, website performance, and campaign ROI, build meaningful partnerships and community engagement, implement effective marketing automation and reporting. AI tooling should be part of your processes to accelerate production.

By the end of your first year, you'll have:

  • A pipeline you can count on. Sales get a steady flow of qualified leads, and everyone agrees on what "qualified" means.
  • A brand people recognise. Founders, CFOs and investors in India know who Vestd is and why we matter, and the India brand transition is complete across every touchpoint.
  • Numbers that tell the story. You can show leadership in India and the UK which campaigns drive pipeline, what each one costs and where the next rupee should go.
  • A website that converts. Traffic, search visibility (including AI search) and conversion are all clearly higher than when you started.
  • An ecosystem that knows us. Partnerships, roundtables and community events bring us into rooms we couldn't get into before.
  • AI that does the heavy lifting. AI tools are built into how the team produces content, runs campaigns and reports, so you move faster without losing quality.

What you’ll own

  • India go-to-market and brand: set India's GTM strategy in step with our global marketing goals. Lead the move to the Vestd India brand across messaging, digital assets, campaigns and every customer touchpoint.
  • Demand generation and digital marketing: own the website, SEO, the content roadmap and conversion. Plan and run joined-up campaigns across paid, organic, email, social and partner channels that build a steady, qualified pipeline.
  • Product marketing: shape how we position and talk about our equity management platform. Give sales the materials they need to win, and lead launch campaigns for new products and features.
  • Marketing operations and reporting: own HubSpot, from workflows and lead scoring to lifecycle stages and attribution. Report on pipeline, campaign performance and ROI to India and UK leadership.
  • Partnerships, community, and budget: build partnerships with ecosystem players, industry bodies and investors. Lead PR, media and analyst relations, executive thought leadership, speaking slots, and flagship events such as CXO roundtables and webinars. Own the marketing budget and make every rupee count.
  • Strategic Planning: lead the annual marketing plan and quarterly reviews. Decide where to invest and where to stop, so marketing spend backs the business's long-term goals.

What we’re looking for

Essential elements of this role

We cannot provide an exhaustive list of duties; additional duties may arise, but these will be core elements of this role.

  • 12+ years of full-time marketing experience, including at least 5 years leading a marketing function or team. Internships and roles held during full-time study don't count towards this, though we'd still love to hear about them.
  • Clear career progression. Your CV should show how you've grown into a leadership role, with increasing scope, budget or team size over time.
  • B2B marketing experience, ideally in SaaS, fintech or professional services, selling to business decision-makers.
  • The full marketing mix: brand, demand generation, content, paid media and marketing operations. You've led all of these, not just one specialism.
  • A track record of building a marketing engine that consistently drives awareness, engagement and qualified pipeline, with numbers to show for it.
  • Hands-on with HubSpot (or a similar automation platform), Google Ads and LinkedIn Ads, including managing budgets and reporting on performance.
  • Owning a budget and reporting pipeline and ROI directly to senior leadership.
  • Visibility in AI search: you've built programmes that get a brand found on AI search and generative discovery platforms, not only traditional SEO.
  • AI in your everyday work: you use AI tools for things like content drafting, campaign production and automated reporting.
  • Impeccable attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Clear, direct communication in writing and in person, and comfortable working across UK and India teams and time zones.
  • You thrive in a remote-first, distributed team and are happy to travel to occasional events and get-togethers.

Nice to have

These will help you stand out from the pack:

  • Startup or scale-up experience, especially building or launching a marketing function in a new market.
  • Knowledge of shares, share schemes or equity compensation such as ESOPs, or a genuine curiosity to learn it fast.
  • Experience hiring and leading a marketing team, or managing agencies and freelancers.
  • Marketing to SME founders, CFOs, finance leaders or similar B2B audiences.
  • A network in India's startup and investor ecosystem that could open doors for partnerships and events.

Culture fit

What makes Vestd folk collaborative, adaptable, and eager to grow?

  • Thrives in a startup environment, ready to tackle diverse challenges with enthusiasm
  • Adaptable - open to taking on responsibilities beyond the defined role as needed
  • Passionate about contributing to a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Embraces technology to improve processes and drive efficiency

While the above describes the core responsibilities, this role may from time to time involve tasks beyond this list — as needed to respond to evolving business needs.
