The E-Volunteer’s Role
Volunteer your business engagement and digital marketing expertise remotely to help create more inclusive economic opportunities in Colombia. As an e-volunteer with Cuso International, you will support outreach to companies, contribute to digital engagement strategies, and help build partnerships that expand pathways to formal employment and self-employment for women, youth, victims of armed conflict, migrants, refugees, and other communities facing barriers to participation.
This remote opportunity is ideal for a strategic communicator and relationship builder who wants to apply professional skills to meaningful social impact. Working virtually with Cuso International colleagues and local stakeholders, you will research prospective partners, strengthen diagnostic tools, develop tailored proposals, and provide practical implementation support. Your contribution will help organizations advance more inclusive practices while giving you the opportunity to share your expertise in an international development context.
As an e-volunteer, you will support the organization through the following activities:
- Conduct remote market research, map prospective partners, segment priority audiences, and recommend targeted outreach approaches.
- Review and strengthen the initial diagnostic tool, providing clear insights and practical recommendations for partner organizations.
- Develop compelling, customized proposals that connect organizational needs with inclusive employment and business solutions.
- Provide virtual guidance to companies and project stakeholders as they implement approved proposals, monitor progress, and work toward sustainable results.
Essential Requirements:
- A degree in marketing, business administration, data analysis, communications, or a related field.
- Advanced proficiency in Spanish. disciplines are an asset
Essential Background:
- Experience in strategic communications and institutional positioning.
- A track record of building relationships with private- and public-sector organizations; experience working with Canadian companies is an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement digital marketing strategies that engage targeted audiences.
- Experience with social organizations, social-impact projects, or inclusion initiatives is preferred.
- Hands-on knowledge of LinkedIn, digital campaigns, social media platforms, and performance analytics.
