General Description
The Critical Risk Management Specialist plays a pivotal role in supporting the growth and delivery of our SaaS-based fatality prevention and risk management solutions. This role blends deep product knowledge with practical, real-world experience to support the sales team and engage prospective clients across high-risk industries.
Acting as both a subject matter expert and trusted advisor, the Critical Risk Management Specialist demonstrates the practical value of our solutions, particularly Critical Risk Management (CRM), through virtual and in-field interactions in Italy and internationally. They gather customer insights, stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory requirements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure our offerings remain relevant and impactful. The Critical Risk Management Specialist directly supports sales targets, contributes to revenue growth, and plays a key role in positioning Forwood’s solutions as industry-leading tools for serious injury and fatality prevention.
Main Responsibilities
- Product Expertise: Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of our SaaS solutions for fatality prevention and risk management, including features, benefits, and competitive differentiators.
- Sales Enablement: Provide “real life” experiences to enhance the sales process. In particular, demonstrate the benefits of CRM (and our other solutions) in a practical manner. This will involve virtual and in-field interactions with prospective customers and partners in Italy and overseas.
- Customer Insights: Gather feedback from customers and prospects to understand their needs, challenges, and preferences, and share insights with the sales and product teams.
- Industry Knowledge: Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to fatality and serious injury prevention and risk management, and provide relevant insights to the sales team.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and customer success, to ensure alignment and support sales initiatives.
- Support the sales team to deliver on quarterly and annual sales targets
- Maintenance and growth of product and solutions revenue
- Ability to commit to international travel from time to time
Key Requirements
- Proven experience in operational safety and risk management in construction, electricity utilities or other infrastructure sectors.
- Experience working in contractor and subcontractor environments, particularly within the above industries.
- Strong understanding of safety management systems, with a focus on fatality prevention and critical risk controls.
- In particular, experience in fatality and serious injury prevention and familiarity with critical controls would be a strong advantage.
- Practical experience applying safety principles in the field and ability to translate these into meaningful product demonstrations and communicate clearly with front line workers.
- Familiarity with SaaS solutions, particularly in the context of EHS or risk management platforms (preferred but not essential)
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders, both virtually and in person, including frontline workers and executives.
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills.
- Skilled in gathering customer insights and feeding them back into product and sales strategies.
- Solid understanding of industry regulations and trends related to serious injury and fatality prevention.
- Strong collaboration skills, with experience working across teams such as sales, product, and customer success.
- Commercial awareness to support sales targets and contribute to revenue growth.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required
- Tertiary qualifications in Health and Safety, Risk Management, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- Fluent written and verbal communication in both Italian and English, including the ability to translate complex safety and critical risk concepts into clear, practical language for diverse audiences.
