Help shape what creative work with AI looks like next
Generative AI is changing how creative work gets made. Not just the tools people use, but how they riff from an idea to something finished.
At Envato, we’re building for that shift.
We already help millions of creative professionals find the assets and tools they need to create. Now we’re bringing generative AI deeper into that experience, helping customers generate, edit and customise content as part of their everyday workflows.
We’re looking for a Lead Product Manager, GenAI to help lead where that goes next.
This is a role for someone who is genuinely into this space. You’re using the tools, trying new models, following what’s changing and forming opinions about what is genuinely useful versus what is mostly hype.
And you want the opportunity to turn that curiosity into products used by creative professionals around the world.
What you’ll do
- You’ll own the strategy for Envato’s customer facing GenAI experiences, identifying where AI can meaningfully improve creative workflows and taking opportunities from early signals through discovery, launch and iteration.
- You’ll spend time understanding how creative professionals actually work, experiment with emerging models and tools yourself, and build a strong point of view about where Envato can create something distinctive.
- We want someone who likes making ideas tangible too. That could mean using AI to prototype a concept, vibe coding something quickly or getting hands on with a model to understand what it can really do.
- From there, you’ll work closely with Design and Engineering to turn the strongest opportunities into products that balance creative quality and usability with model performance, speed, scale and cost.
What we’re actually looking for
- You’re an experienced product leader who has owned strategy and roadmaps for customer facing digital products.
- You have deep, hands on fluency in generative AI and generative media. You understand models, APIs and emerging capabilities well enough to work closely with technical teams, and you’re already using AI in your own product work.
- You also understand creative people and creative work. Our customers are designers, filmmakers, editors and creators. They care about quality and have a high bar for the tools they use. You need the judgement to understand the difference between an AI output that is technically impressive and one that is genuinely useful in finished professional work.
- You’re commercially minded, comfortable using customer insight, data and experimentation to make decisions, and confident connecting product choices to adoption, retention, revenue and cost.
- And you can lead through influence. This is a senior individual contributor role working globally across Product, Design, Engineering, external partners and senior leaders, including Executives. You’ll need to communicate clearly, bring people with you and be comfortable making calls when there isn’t an obvious answer.
- Because there aren’t many roles where you get to work at the intersection of creative professionals, generative AI and a global product already used at scale.
- We’re not interested in adding AI somewhere because we can. We want to work out where it genuinely makes creative work better.
- And there is still a lot to figure out. That’s the interesting part.
