Role Overview
We are seeking an Associate Director of Data Product Management to help lead the continued development of DataHub, our self-service data warehousing and reporting product. With DataHub, we are striving to help PACE organizations access their data in an intuitive way, allowing them to easily create custom reports for internal purposes.
In this management role, you will be the primary owner of this product line and will be responsible for the success of that product. This includes overseeing the product’s day-to-day operations, partnering with engineering to plan releases, and strategically evaluating new feature opportunities.
In particular, you will be responsible for the following:
Product Discovery & Delivery
Independently leverage AI to investigate the codebase and resolve technical functionality questions
Own the development of complex features, including client discovery sessions and PRD writing
Recommend build vs buy assessments for manager review
Client & Cross-Functional Communication
Provide company wide updates related to your product on a regular basis with minimal oversight
Handle client escalations with minimal oversight from your manager
Assist your manager in guiding cross-functional stakeholders through applications changes and rollout
Work cross-functionally to own all the steps needed in launching a new feature with minimal support from your manager
Flag areas of potential cross-product interdependencies to discuss with the broader product team
Plan monthly roadmaps
Develop pod level quarterly roadmaps with minimal support from your manager
Recommend product level quarterly roadmap plans for manager review
Team Leadership
Set clear expectations for direct reports and provide regular direct feedback with minimal support from your manager
Work with your manager in providing your direct reports with growth opportunities and career development guidance
About You
Required
6-8 years of overall Product Management experience, including 1+ years managing and developing a team
Strong technical background, with familiarity in data modeling and analytics tooling
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Comfort working directly with clients, with the ability to navigate escalations
Ability to handle ambiguous problem spaces
Business acumen, with an ability to balance product decisions against broader business outcomes
Attention to detail with an analytical mindset
Proactive and eager to learn new skills
Strong understanding of the software product development lifecycle
Experience running scrum processes
Proficient in SQL and JIRA
Experience working with healthcare datasets such as electronic health record data or claims data
Preferred
Prior start up experience
Prior experience building data products
Compensation:
The base salary range for this role is 165K-175K. We expect the ideal candidate to fall near the midpoint of this range, though final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and organizational needs.
