Our client is a growing marketing agency supporting a high-performing e-commerce brand in the kitchen appliance space. The agency is looking for an experienced paid media professional to take ownership of campaign execution and help scale performance across key acquisition channels.

Role Overview

The Paid Media Strategist (Ecommerce Industry) will own the day-to-day execution, optimization, and reporting of paid media campaigns for an established e-commerce client.

This is a hands-on role responsible for managing substantial monthly ad spend across Meta and Google, developing structured testing plans, collaborating on creative strategy, and making data-driven recommendations to improve efficiency and profitable growth.

The ideal candidate has deep e-commerce paid media experience and can independently build campaigns, analyze performance, identify scaling opportunities, and provide strategic recommendations in a fast-moving agency environment.

Fully Remote | 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST | 30 hours

Key Responsibilities

Paid Media Management & Optimization

  • Build, launch, manage, and optimize paid media campaigns across Meta Ads and Google Ads.

  • Manage campaign budgets, pacing, audience targeting, bidding, testing, and day-to-day performance optimization.

  • Support approximately $150K in projected monthly media spend across platforms.

  • Monitor performance and proactively recommend improvements to ROAS, CAC, conversion volume, and overall efficiency.

  • Support expansion into additional acquisition channels when appropriate, including Microsoft Ads, TikTok, YouTube, AppLovin, and other relevant platforms.

Growth Strategy & Testing

  • Develop structured testing plans across audiences, creative angles, offers, campaign structures, and channels.

  • Identify opportunities to scale winning campaigns while maintaining efficiency.

  • Provide strategic recommendations on channel mix, budget allocation, and paid growth opportunities.

  • Stay current on platform changes, e-commerce advertising trends, and emerging paid acquisition channels.

  • Evaluate, research, and learn new paid media channels as the account scales.

Creative Collaboration

  • Partner with the agency team, designer, and client to recommend creative concepts and assets for testing.

  • Translate campaign performance into clear creative learnings and next-step recommendations.

  • Use AI tools where helpful to support creative ideation, ad variations, research, and testing workflows.

  • Provide data-backed creative recommendations without serving as the primary graphic designer or video editor.

Reporting & Performance Analysis

  • Maintain clear reporting on campaign performance, budget pacing, tests, wins, and areas of concern.

  • Analyze campaign data and translate performance into actionable recommendations.

  • Provide regular performance updates and recommendations to the agency lead.

  • Maintain visibility into spend, results, learnings, and next steps.

Client & Agency Collaboration

  • Join occasional client calls to explain campaign performance and strategic recommendations when needed.

  • Communicate proactively with the agency team during agreed working hours.

  • Work independently while escalating risks and important decisions quickly.

  • Adapt to shifting priorities within a fast-paced agency environment.

Qualifications

Experience

  • 5+ years of hands-on paid media experience, with a strong focus on e-commerce.

  • Proven experience personally managing substantial paid media budgets, ideally $100K+ per month.

  • Strong hands-on experience with Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads.

  • Experience with Microsoft Ads, TikTok Ads, YouTube Ads, AppLovin, or other growth channels is a plus.

  • Agency experience is strongly preferred.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of e-commerce customer acquisition and paid media performance.

  • Strong understanding of conversion tracking, attribution, ROAS, CAC, and campaign scaling.

  • Ability to manage budgets, pacing, audience targeting, bidding, and campaign optimization.

  • Ability to develop structured testing plans across audiences, creative, offers, campaign structures, and channels.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate performance data into clear actions and recommendations.

  • Ability to identify opportunities to scale campaigns while protecting efficiency.

  • Ability to collaborate on creative strategy and provide recommendations based on campaign performance.

  • Ability to evaluate and learn emerging paid acquisition channels as account needs evolve.

  • Strong organization and attention to detail when independently managing campaigns.

  • Ability to work autonomously while proactively escalating risks and important decisions.
