Job Summary 

The Operations Analyst is an entry level role responsible for supporting operational reporting, process improvement automation, and the implementation and ongoing support of a professional services automation (PSA) platform. 

This role will report directly to the Director of Excellence and Operations and will have regular interaction with cross-functional teams, project stakeholders, and senior leadership. The role provides an opportunity for an early career professional to develop experience across operational analytics, process automation, AI-enabled workflows, and the implementation of a PSA platform.  

The ideal candidate is analytical, detail oriented, comfortable working with technology, and interested in identifying opportunities to simplify, automate and improve business processes. This position will receive guidance and direction from their manager and other business stakeholders while also being expected to develop independence as experience grows. 

Requirements

What You’ll Do  

  • Process Automation and Operational Improvement: 
  • Assist key stakeholders with documenting current state processes, identifying manual or repetitive business processes, translating requirements into an improved process or technology solution, and developing future-state workflows.  
  • Build, test, deploy, and maintain workflow automation using tools such as Microsoft Power Automate.  
  • Troubleshoot and maintain existing workflows and automations.  
  • Perform testing and validation of new processes and automated solutions prior to deployment.  
  • Create and maintain process documentation, workflow diagrams, procedures, and other operational documentation.  
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives.  
  • Assist with additional projects and initiatives as assigned by your manager. 

Reporting and Analytics: 

  • Develop and maintain recurring operational reports and dashboards.  
  • Create reports supporting key operational KPIs and management decision-making.  
  • Validate report data for completeness and accuracy.  
  • Assist with identifying opportunities to automate recurring reports and reporting processes.  
  • Help transition existing reporting processes into standardized and automated reporting solutions where appropriate. 
  • Support future reporting requirements associated with the PSA platform.  
  • PSA Implementation Responsibilities: The Business Operations & Automation Analyst will be an active member of the team responsible for implementing a new professional services automation platform.  

Assist in the system administration and maintenance of a (PSA) Professional Services Automation tool , (currently Monday.com) including:  

  • PS Opportunity and/or Project creation and maintenance. 
  • Understanding PSA and the data structures to pull relevant data into reports or dashboards. 
  • Create, design, deliver and maintain processes and specifications as requested by PS leadership 
  • Prepare and present reports, dashboards, and recommendations based on data analysis. 
  • Provide training and guidance to team members on operational processes and tools when necessary. 
  • Other responsibilities as assigned 
  • Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner; identify and bring in resources as required for quick response to client issues raised during the implementation phase.

Skills & Experience 

Required: 

  • Bachelor's degree and/or one to three years of relevant professional experience in business analysis, reporting, process improvement, automation, professional services operations, or related field.  
  • Fluent, proficient written and spoken English with the ability to communicate effectively with global teams and senior leadership.  
  • Experience supporting business process automation or workflow development.  
  • Working knowledge or hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Automate & Power BI. 
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot or other AI platforms  
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.  
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.  
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.  
  • Ability to work with guidance while developing increasing independence and ownership.  
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple assignments and priorities.  
  • Ability to support US working hours (Central Time Zone) 

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Business Analytics, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
