Project Manager
Remote
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of a large federal healthcare program. The Project Manager will provide leadership, direction, and oversight for project operations, ensuring contract requirements, performance objectives, and stakeholder expectations are consistently met.
This role serves as the primary point of contact for government stakeholders and is responsible for managing project scope, schedule, staffing, risk, and deliverables across a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day project operations and ensure successful contract performance.
- Serve as the primary liaison between program stakeholders, leadership, and project teams.
- Manage project schedules, milestones, deliverables, and performance metrics.
- Monitor project risks, issues, and dependencies and implement mitigation strategies.
- Oversee staffing, resource allocation, onboarding, and workforce planning activities.
- Prepare and present status reports, executive briefings, and program updates.
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements, federal regulations, and organizational policies.
- Coordinate activities across technical, functional, and operational teams.
- Track project budgets and support financial management activities as required.
- Promote continuous process improvement and operational excellence.
- Support quality assurance efforts and ensure all deliverables meet established standards.
- Foster strong customer relationships and maintain effective communication with key stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
- Experience with VA systems, processes, and organizational structure.
- Experience managing healthcare, IT modernization, digital transformation, or clinical support programs within the VA.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of project management experience, including experience supporting federal government programs.
- At least 3 years of experience managing VA programs or contracts
- Demonstrated experience managing teams in a federal contracting environment.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, risk management, and performance management.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI.
- Lean Six Sigma certification.
- Scrum Master or Agile certification.
- Experience supporting large, multi-site federal programs.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Expertise in project planning, scheduling, and resource management.
- Experience with federal acquisition and contract management processes.
- Ability to analyze complex problems and implement effective solutions.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with executive leadership and government stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and collaboration tools.
Security Requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any required federal background investigation or VA clearance.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
