Senior Salesforce Developer Lead

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Salesforce Developer Lead to provide technical leadership, solution design oversight, and hands-on development expertise for a large-scale federal healthcare modernization initiative. This role will lead Salesforce development teams responsible for delivering secure, scalable, and mission-critical solutions that support complex business operations and enterprise transformation efforts.
The Senior Salesforce Developer Lead will serve as the primary technical authority for Salesforce development activities, partnering closely with Solution Architects, Product Owners, Business Analysts, DevSecOps teams, and program leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, enhancement, and deployment of enterprise Salesforce solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to Salesforce developers and technical teams.
- Architect and develop scalable solutions using Salesforce Lightning, Apex, and modern development frameworks.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to translate complex requirements into technical solutions.
- Establish and enforce development standards, coding guidelines, and best practices.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure compliance with security, performance, and maintainability standards.
- Design and develop complex integrations between Salesforce and enterprise systems.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts and resolve highly complex production issues.
- Support platform modernization, performance optimization, and technical debt reduction initiatives.
- Partner with Solution Architects to implement enterprise architecture strategies and roadmaps.
- Guide Agile development teams through sprint planning, design sessions, and release activities.
- Collaborate with QA teams to ensure comprehensive testing and delivery of high-quality solutions.
- Support DevOps and CI/CD automation initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with federal security, privacy, accessibility, and governance requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of software development experience.
- At least 7 years of Salesforce development experience.
- Minimum of 3 years leading Salesforce development teams within large enterprise environments.
- Extensive experience developing custom Salesforce applications and integrations.
- Expertise in designing and implementing scalable enterprise solutions.
- Strong understanding of software architecture principles and secure coding practices.
- Experience working in Agile and DevSecOps environments.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain any required federal background investigation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting federal healthcare, health IT, or government modernization initiatives.
- Salesforce Platform Developer I Certification.
- Salesforce Platform Developer II Certification.
- Salesforce Application Architect Certification preferred.
- Experience supporting Salesforce Government Cloud implementations.
- Experience leading distributed development teams.
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise transformation programs.
Security Requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any required federal background investigation or VA clearance.
- S. Citizenship required.
