About OpenArt

We built OpenArt for people who have a vision but not a studio, and creators who have a story but not an entire production team.

Today, OpenArt is one of the fastest-growing AI creative platforms, helping millions of people create images, videos, stories, ads, and other creative content with AI.

OpenArt is #12 on a16z’s Top 50 Consumer AI Apps by Monthly Revenue, was selected as one of just five companies in the 2026 Disney Accelerator, and was recognized by Notable Capital’s Prosumer AI 40 as one of the 40 most innovative AI-native companies.

We’re a small, ambitious team that moves fast, takes ownership, and builds without waiting for a playbook.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Creative Lead, Organic & Social to own the creative direction of OpenArt’s organic content and lead our team of visual designers, motion designers, video editors, and other creative contributors.

You’ll be responsible for the creative quality of what OpenArt puts out across social media and other owned channels, from the initial idea through final execution.

This is a senior, hands-on creative leadership role. We’re not looking for someone who only reviews finished work or manages timelines. You should be someone who comes to the team with original concepts, knows how to turn an idea into a strong creative brief, can give clear direction across design, motion and video, and can push the work until it’s great.

You’ll work closely with our social, community, product marketing, and broader marketing teams to decide not just how our content should look, but what we should be making in the first place.

What You’ll Own

  • Lead and manage our team of visual designers, motion designers, video editors, and other creative contributors.

  • Own creative direction and quality across OpenArt’s organic social channels.

  • Develop original creative concepts for product launches, social content, announcements, events, brand moments, recurring series, and other marketing initiatives.

  • Turn ideas into clear creative briefs, scripts, storyboards, references, and directions that the team can execute.

  • Give clear, actionable creative feedback across design, motion, video editing, storytelling, pacing, typography, composition, and visual execution.

  • Work closely with the social and marketing teams to turn content needs into strong creative.

  • Conduct regular competitive and creative research across AI, technology, creator, entertainment, and social media brands.

  • Identify new formats, visual styles, trends, and content ideas worth testing.

  • Build repeatable creative formats and systems that allow the team to produce high-quality content at a fast pace.

  • Maintain a consistent creative standard while still allowing us to test new styles and ideas.

  • Manage creative priorities and ensure projects move from concept to final delivery efficiently.

  • Help the creative team improve through regular feedback, coaching, and clear expectations.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in creative direction, social creative, content, design, video, or a related field.

  • Previous experience managing and directing multidisciplinary creative teams.

  • A strong portfolio of social-first work across design, motion, and video.

  • Strong creative judgment and the ability to explain why something works or doesn’t.

  • Experience developing original concepts rather than only executing briefs.

  • Strong understanding of social platforms and how creative needs to change across Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other channels.

  • Strong familiarity with generative AI and the current AI creative ecosystem.

  • Experience using or directing work made with AI image and video tools.

  • Ability to research competitors, creative trends, and emerging formats and translate those findings into original ideas.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with a high volume of creative output.

  • Comfortable working Pacific Time hours. Our core collaboration hours are 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM PT, when you’ll be expected to be online and available to work closely with the team.

Strong Plus

  • Based in Pakistan or the UAE.

  • Previous experience at an AI, technology, creator, media, or fast-growing consumer company.

  • Started your career as a designer, motion designer, editor, filmmaker, content creator, or other hands-on creative role.

  • Personally experiments with generative AI image and video tools.

  • Has built or managed an in-house social creative team before.
