- Align marketing, data, engineering, and product stakeholders on scope, priorities, and success measures.
- Design end-to-end data architectures integrating Snowflake, Databricks, mParticle, Hightouch, Braze, and wider MarTech platforms.
- Define data models, identity resolution, consent, and data quality frameworks across multiple brands and markets.
- Plan migrations from marketing, loyalty, and messaging platforms into modern data architectures.
- Develop technical roadmaps, estimate delivery effort, define project phases, and secure client sign-off before implementation.
- Evaluate data technologies and tools based on business requirements, scalability, performance, and cost.
- Guide Data Engineering teams in designing and optimising batch, event-driven, and low-latency data pipelines.
- Establish best practices for data validation, monitoring, performance optimisation, and governance.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear recommendations that demonstrate business value.
- Mentor engineers and consultants, lead technical reviews, and drive continuous improvement.
- Support client pitches, technical presentations, workshops, and opportunities to expand existing engagements.
- 8+ years of experience in Data Architecture or Solution Architecture, including at least 5 years in technical leadership.
- Deep hands-on expertise in Snowflake, Databricks, and customer data platforms, with Hightouch experience being a plus.
- Proven experience integrating cloud data warehouses with MarTech, CRM, customer engagement, and analytics platforms.
- Strong understanding of identity resolution, customer profiles, and linking anonymous and known customer activity across multiple data sources.
- Extensive experience in data modelling, reverse ETL, pipeline architecture, data integration, and performance optimisation.
- Strong SQL and Python skills, with familiarity with version control, CI/CD, and modern engineering practices.
- Experience leading discovery workshops and translating business requirements into robust technical architectures.
- Ability to scope and estimate delivery phases, document technical designs, and secure formal client approval.
- Experience mentoring engineers or consultants and providing technical direction across multiple projects.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience in an agency or consulting environment, managing multiple client engagements.
- Willingness to travel to client locations when required.
Desirable
- Certifications in Snowflake, data architecture, CDPs, or relevant MarTech platforms.
- Familiarity with Braze, Amplitude, GA4, and marketing automation within composable CDP or warehouse-native architectures.
- Understanding of data privacy, security, consent, and regulatory requirements for customer data.
- Experience developing technical proposals, delivering client presentations, and leading workshops or training sessions.
- A track record of introducing new technologies or architectural improvements that deliver measurable business outcomes.
