OVERVIEW:
We are looking for a motivated, disciplined, and results-driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) to generate qualified sales opportunities for our growing sales team. This is a predominantly outbound sales role, requiring high-volume prospecting through cold calls, emails, and LinkedIn outreach to HR, Talent Acquisition, and Operations leaders across UK SMEs, with a strong focus on the care sector.
The ideal candidate is confident speaking with prospects, resilient in handling objections, and thrives in a target-driven environment. Success in this role will be measured by consistently booking qualified discovery calls and demos that convert into sales opportunities while maintaining accurate CRM records and contributing to the continuous improvement of sales messaging and outreach strategies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct high-volume outbound prospecting through cold calls, emails, and LinkedIn outreach.
- Research target accounts and personalize outreach to decision-makers.
- Generate and book qualified discovery meetings and product demos for the sales team.
- Qualify prospects and effectively handle initial objections.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, activity logs, notes, and pipeline stages in HubSpot.
- Collaborate with the sales team to improve messaging, outreach sequences, and conversion rates.
- Meet weekly activity targets and monthly qualified meeting quotas.
- Stay informed about Occy's products, target market, and value proposition.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 12 months of experience in an outbound SDR or BDR role, preferably within B2B SaaS.
- Strong cold-calling skills and confidence engaging prospects over the phone.
- Excellent written communication skills for email and LinkedIn outreach.
- Highly organized with strong CRM management skills.
- Self-motivated, resilient, coachable, and comfortable working remotely.
- Experience selling to HR, Talent Acquisition, or Recruitment professionals is an advantage.
- Knowledge of the UK care or social care sector is preferred.
- Experience using HubSpot CRM is highly desirable.
- Previous experience working in a startup or scale-up environment is a plus.
PREFERRED SKILLS (nice to have):
- Experience selling to HR, Talent Acquisition, or Recruitment professionals.
- Knowledge of the UK care or social care sector.
