The listing

We currently have a vacancy for a Data Manager (FME) fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert remotely (within EU). In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.

Tasks:

    • Design and implement automated data flows to integrate data and processes into the contracting authority’s systems and databases (historical data migration and new ETL flows);
    • Performance monitoring and improvement of existing and new ETL flows;
    • Ensure data quality is properly defined, documented, analysed and monitored;
    • Support data analysis, modelling and visualisation in close collaboration with internal stakeholders, such as disease surveillance experts and fellow data managers.

Requirements

      • University degree within the field of computer science, data science, or another related field; with at least three years of experience in data management/analysis OR non-university degree with at least five years of experience in data management/analysis; 
      • Minimum 3 years of recent experience in handling large complex data sets, working with data warehouses and data marts using FME; 
      • A certification/training in FME and TransactSQL is required;
      • Experience in data management/analysis in infectious diseases, epidemiology or public health will be considered an asset;
      • Experience in TransactSQL and Python/or R will be considered an asset;
      • Excellent command of the English language.
