The E-Volunteer’s Role
Cuso International is seeking an e-volunteer with expertise in artificial intelligence (AI) and adult learning to help grassroots and community-based organizations explore how AI can strengthen their work. In this role, you will design a practical, accessible virtual workshop that introduces partner organizations to AI tools, techniques, and real-world applications they can use with confidence.
This workshop will be tailored to the realities of small organizations, including limited resources, varied digital literacy levels, and different degrees of access to technology. Your methodology will help participants understand AI in clear, practical terms and apply it responsibly within their own organizational contexts.
Working collaboratively with Cuso International and partners in Honduras, you will create workshop materials, interactive learning activities, and editable resources that partners can adapt and reuse. Your contribution will help strengthen local capacity, spark innovation, and support organizations in using AI to advance their missions.
As an e-volunteer, you will support the organization through the following activities:
- Designing a clear and engaging methodology for a virtual workshop on artificial intelligence.
- Developing practical workshop materials, including an agenda, presentation, learning resources, and hands-on activities.
- Facilitating an interactive virtual workshop that supports participation and applied learning.
- Providing editable workshop materials so partners can adapt, replicate, and continue using the resources beyond the placement.
Essential Requirements:
- University education or equivalent experience in technology, computer science, adult learning, or a related field.
Essential Background:
- Experience using artificial intelligence tools in practical or learning-focused settings.
- Experience designing or facilitating online workshops for adult learners.
- Experience using virtual tools that encourage group participation, collaboration, and interactive learning.
