We are seeking an experienced International Tax Manager with strong inbound international tax and High-Net-Worth (HNW) experience. This individual will manage complex tax engagements, provide cross-border tax planning and advisory services, and serve as a trusted advisor to international individuals, families, and businesses with U.S. tax obligations.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and review complex tax engagements for HNW individuals and inbound international clients.
Advise foreign individuals, families, and businesses on U.S. tax compliance, planning, and cross-border matters.
Serve as a primary client contact and build strong, trusted relationships.
Research and resolve complex international, federal, and multi-state tax issues.
Identify proactive tax planning opportunities and provide strategic recommendations.
Manage multiple engagements, deadlines, and deliverables.
Review tax returns, workpapers, and international filings for accuracy and compliance.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to tax professionals.
Collaborate with partners on complex international tax matters and client opportunities.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Taxation, Finance, or related field.
CPA required.
6+ years of progressive public accounting tax experience.
Inbound international tax experience required.
HNW individual tax experience required.
Strong knowledge of cross-border U.S. tax compliance and planning.
Experience reviewing complex individual and international tax filings.
Strong client-facing, technical, and communication skills.
Spanish or Portuguese fluency strongly preferred.
New Jersey-based candidates preferred.
Partnership, pass-through, trust, estate, or family office experience is a plus.
Master's degree in Taxation preferred.
