About MiraMace
Mira Mace is a venture-backed company on a mission to help Medicare patients navigate a complicated healthcare system with clarity and confidence. We pair people-centered navigation with technology to make sure patients understand their care, stay connected to their providers, and get to the resources they need.
About the Roleyea
As National Medical Director, you own clinical outcomes for every Mira patient, and we'll measure you by the numbers. The job isn't treating diseases one at a time. It's finding what is actually driving decline, like the fall, the medication burden, the missed follow-up or the cognitive change nobody caught. Then you fix it for every patient, and fast.
You'll get a lot of autonomy and no handholding. If a number is moving the wrong way, you'll be the first to know and the one who turns it around.
Who You Are
You've been the CMO at a telehealth company and moved hard numbers. You lowered readmission rates, cut avoidable ER use or improved another outcome you can name, with the before and after.
You think like a geriatrician: in terms of function, goals and the whole patient, not single-disease guidelines.
You move first and refine as you go. You'll make a good decision today rather than a perfect one next month.
You treat every problem in your area as yours, clinical or not. You don't wait for permission, a full spec or another meeting.
You're energized by real urgency and ambiguity. Your best work has come when the answer was unclear and the stakes were high.
You write clearly, stay in the details and hold yourself and others to a high bar.
What You'll Do
Pick the outcomes that matter most, starting with hospital readmissions, ER visits and falls, and own them. You'll set the target, build the fix and report the number every week.
Design root-cause programs through a geriatric lens. Use the 5Ms (Mind, Mobility, Medications, Multicomplexity, what Matters Most) to target polypharmacy, cognitive decline, frailty and avoidable admissions.
Ship programs in weeks, not quarters. Launch a first version, measure it, fix it and scale what works.
Turn those programs into protocols our clinicians and Care Advocates run every day.
Set the clinical standard for visits, care plans and documentation. Sign off on the clinical content in our product, including AI-assisted workflows.
Work with operations and billing so care is documented accurately and meets CMS requirements.
Be Mira's clinical voice with payers and regulators.
