Our US-based client is a national warehouse operator with dozens of facilities located across the United states. The project goal is replacing a legacy Warehouse Management System (WMS) with a modern one, supporting various warehouse operations and practices, including 3rd party integrations.

Position requirements
* 5+ years of commercial software development experience, primarily with Java
* Strong knowledge of OOP, design patterns, clean code, and software engineering principles
* Strong experience with Java EE, Spring 5 (Core, MVC, Security), and Spring Boot 2
* Strong SQL skills and solid understanding of relational database principles
* Experience designing, maintaining, and troubleshooting REST APIs
* Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills, including production environments
* Deep experience with AIDLC (AI-Driven Lifecycle) and agentic programming mindset.
* Ability to effectively use AI for codebase analysis, implementation, debugging, production issue investigation, and automated test generation
* Strong unit testing skills with JUnit, Mockito, and related testing practices
* Experience with Git, Maven, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines
* Familiarity with application servers such as IBM WebSphere
* Proficiency with Unix/Linux environments and Bash
* Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
Nice to have
* Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), logistics, fulfillment, or other supply chain domains
* Experience with IBM Db2 and/or Oracle Database
* Experience with Docker and containerized environments
* Experience with C++
* Experience supporting large-scale or legacy enterprise applications
* Experience with MCP-based AI tooling and integrations
Position responsibilities
* Develop bug fixes, enhancements, and new features within the WMS product.
* Provide production support by investigating incidents, diagnosing complex issues, performing root cause analysis (RCA), and implementing reliable fixes.
* Use AI-assisted engineering tools, including Claude and MCP integrations, to analyze the codebase, investigate production issues, develop solutions, and accelerate test coverage.
* Validate AI-generated code and technical conclusions, ensuring solutions are correct, secure, maintainable, and appropriate for production.
* Perform code reviews and contribute to maintaining high standards for code quality and engineering practices.
* Collaborate within a Scrum team throughout the delivery lifecycle, from requirements analysis and technical design through implementation, testing, and deployment.
