About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on HR Local Representative to support our operations in Taiwan and Hong Kong. Based in Taiwan, this role provides on-the-ground HR support and acts as a key local contact for employees and clients.
You will support employee lifecycle activities, local HR requirements, employee relations, and compliance matters while working closely with regional and global teams to deliver a seamless employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
HR Local Representative Responsibilities
- Act as a key HR point of contact for employees and clients in Taiwan and provide support for Hong Kong-related HR matters.
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a smooth employee experience.
- Provide guidance on HR policies, employment terms, and local HR practices.
- Handle employee queries related to HR matters, payroll, benefits, and employment-related issues.
- Support employee lifecycle processes, including documentation, record-keeping, and employee data management.
- Stay updated on Taiwan labor laws and statutory requirements and support compliance with local requirements.
- Support HR-related matters for Hong Kong in collaboration with the regional Local Representative team.
- Assist with benefits administration, insurance, statutory registrations, and other employee-related matters.
- Support local compliance activities and audits where required.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in HR systems.
- Provide practical, on-the-ground employee support, including:
- Bank account setup assistance
- Medical insurance coordination
- Other local administrative support as required
- Act as an escalation point for employee and client concerns and ensure timely follow-up and resolution.
- Work closely with Payroll, HR, Local Representative, and other internal teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Support EOR employees and contribute to HR-related projects and Business Corporate Services (BCS) initiatives as the business grows.
- Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, service delivery, and employee experience.
- Collaborate with regional teams to ensure consistent service delivery across Taiwan and Hong Kong.
- Support other HR and business initiatives and ad hoc projects as required.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in an HR generalist, HR operations, or HR specialist role in Taiwan.
- Good knowledge of Taiwan labor laws, employment practices, and statutory requirements.
- Experience in an HR services, consulting, shared services, or multinational company environment is a plus.
- Experience supporting EOR, payroll, HR outsourcing, or similar services is an advantage.
- Experience in payroll processing or working closely with payroll teams is welcomed.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive employee information with discretion.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in Mandarin and English, both written and spoken.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with regional and global teams.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities.
- Proactive, hands-on, and customer-focused approach.
- Willingness to support other duties and ad hoc projects as required by management.
