We are seeking a strategic Head of Finance to lead all financial aspects of a growing, multi-entity organization. This role is ideal for a CFO who thrives in competitive environments, balances strategy with execution, and has a proven ability to drive profitability, scale operations, and support complex growth initiatives including M&A, capital projects, and international operations.
The CFO will join the executive team—providing insight, structure, and financial discipline while enabling growth.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Partner with the CEO and executive team to develop and execute long-term strategic plans, including growth initiatives, acquisitions, and operational scaling.
- Translate business plans into integrated financial models, budgets, forecasts, and KPIs tailored to multi-location and seasonal operations.
- Lead enterprise-level financial modeling, scenario analysis, and ROI evaluation to support data-driven decision-making.
- Provide scenario analysis and ROI modeling for:
- New facility launches
- Program and pricing decisions
- Marketing spend and customer acquisition
- Staffing and capacity planning
Financial Operations & Performance
- Oversee all accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting activities across multiple entities.
- Ensure financial and operational compliance.
- Implement proactive cost management and margin improvement initiatives to drive sustained profitability.
- Develop dashboards and performance reporting that connect operational KPIs to financial outcomes.
- Manage relationships with external investors.
- Secure and manage financing for growth initiatives and capital projects.
- Oversee treasury functions including cash flow forecasting, working capital optimization, debt restructuring, and FX strategy (as applicable).
Systems, Process & Scale
- Build scalable financial systems and processes.
- Improve accuracy, efficiency, and insight through automation and streamlined workflows.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Build, lead, and mentor high-performing finance team.
- Act as a trusted financial advisor to internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Communicate complex financial insights clearly to non-financial leaders.
Requirements
Experience
- 5-10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including senior roles such as Head of Finance, VP Finance, or Controller with expanding scope
- Experience operating in a multi-location, multi-entity, and/or seasonal business (sports, fitness, hospitality, franchise, or retail industries a strong plus)
- Demonstrated experience partnering directly with a CEO or executive team on strategic planning, growth initiatives, and operational scaling
- Track record leading M&A activity, due diligence, or post-acquisition integration
- Experience securing and managing financing (debt, equity, or growth capital) and managing relationships with investors or lenders
- Hands-on treasury experience, including cash flow forecasting, working capital management, and debt structuring
- Experience implementing or upgrading financial systems, ERPs, or reporting infrastructure to support a scaling organization
- Proven experience building, leading, and developing a finance team
Skills & Competencies
- Advanced financial modeling, scenario planning, and ROI/business case analysis skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to connect operational KPIs to financial performance
- Deep understanding of GAAP, financial compliance, and multi-entity consolidation
- Proficiency with financial planning and reporting tools (advanced Excel required; experience with BI/dashboard tools a plus)
- Excellent executive communication skills — able to translate complex financial concepts for non-financial stakeholders and external partners
- Strong leadership, mentorship, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, growth-stage environment with evolving priorities
