Is it remote?
Marked remote on the employer's board
Their board carries a remote setting on this posting — a field they filled in, not wording we read. The location field names somewhere specific, which is usually where the team or the entity sits.

About the company
Our client is a law firm.
The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Take charge of corporate transactions as a senior partner, owning client advice and deal work from start to finish. The position pairs hands-on deal leadership with developing and overseeing junior lawyers, and it is performed fully remotely.
What you'll do
- Be the lead external lawyer for founders, boards and senior executives at technology businesses.
- Counsel clients on setup, fundraising, expansion and exit decisions.
- Direct deal work from first draft to close, including acquisition transactions.
- Oversee and develop associates while personally standing behind the advice and deal outcomes.
Requirements
What we're looking for
- Over a decade of corporate practice at a prominent, tech-oriented firm.
- Significant prior experience counseling technology businesses across their full corporate life, from founding through repeated fundraises, scaling and liquidity events.
- A track record of serving as the main external attorney for company founders and executives.
- Coaching junior lawyers while personally keeping accountability for advice given and deals closed.
- Juris Doctor from a top 30 law school.
- An active bar membership in good standing in any US jurisdiction.
- A forward-looking, tech-minded approach to the work rather than a conventional practice profile.
- Willingness to train colleagues, support the team and contribute as a team member.
- Ability to provide a deal sheet.
- Based in the United States.
Bonus points
- Experience with mergers and acquisitions work.
